About Abu Dhabi Al Ain National Museum

In the 1950s and 1960s, not just oil was excavated but also priceless archeological artifacts dating back 5,000 years. The artifacts were discovered from graveyards on the Island of Umm An nar and Al Ain. A museum was inaugurated in 1971 to house all the finds. There are two major sections, the Ethnographical Section illustrating the life in the pre-oil era, and Archeological Section where all exhibits on antiquities are.



How to get there
By bus from Abu Dhabi station. By Emirates mini bus from Dubai’s Bur Dubai taxi station. Then take a taxi—direction is city center opposite Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Castle (The Easter Fort), south-west Al Murabba’ Roundabout.
