What To Expect
Your first stop is Dahshure to see the Bent Pyramid and the Red Pyramid, which have never been completed. Archaeological research has shown it to date to the 4th Dynasty, but it is not clear for whom it was built.
Next is Memphis, the capital of Old Egypt during the Old Kingdom, considered to be a center of rule and culture for over 3000 years. It had great architectural achievements and it is believed that Memphis was the largest city in the world from its foundation until around 2250 BC.
After lunch at a local restaurant, we will visit the Step Pyramid of Zoser, the world's oldest major stone structure. It was built in the 3rd Dynasty (around 2630 BC) for King Djoser. At the end of the tour, you will be taken back to Alexandria to join your cruise.
