Day 3 AMMAN - AJLOUN - JERASH - AMMAN
After breakfast we will head towards the historic North Country. We will visit Ajloun Castle. Ajloun Castle protected the communication routes between south Jordan and Syria, and was one of a chain of forts that lit beacons at night to pass signals from the Euphrates as far as Cairo. Today, Ajloun Castle is a splendid sight with a fascinating warren of towers, chambers, galleries and staircases to explore, while its hilltop position offers stunning views of the Jordan Valley.

Next we visit Jerash, the Greco-Roman city known as the "Pompeii of the East." Built over 2,000 years ago, Jerash is widely regarded as the best-preserved city of the Decapolis, a confederation of 10 Roman cities dating from the 1st century! We'll explore the site taking in the colonnaded street, amphitheater and more.

Dinner will be had at a traditional restaurant then an overnight stay in Amman at the same hotel.
(Breakfast, Dinner)

Day 4 AMMAN - MADABA - MOUNT NEBO - DEAD SEA
After breakfast we will head toward the Jordan Valley and Dead Sea. Our first stop will be the Christian city of Madaba "the city of Mosaics" which has the oldest known mosaic map of the holy land. Then off to view the Jordan Valley from the famous Mount Nebo for a tour of its Byzantine Church and mosaics

We will then transfer to Dead Sea for rest and Relaxation at the Dead Sea Hotel Resort
(Breakfast; Dinner at Dead Sea Hotel)

Day 5 DEAD SEA - KARAK - PETRA
After breakfast, check out of the hotel before departing south towards the city of Karak. We will enjoy a tour of the Karak Castle with its diverse history dating back to the Byzantine period before continuing to the city of Wadi Musa home of Petra. We will have dinner and overnight in Petra.
(Breakfast, Dinner)

Day 6 PETRA
The ancient city of Petra is one of Jordan's national treasures and by far its best known tourist attraction. Petra is the legacy of the Nabateans, an industrious Arab people who settled in southern Jordan more than 2,000 years ago. Admired then for its refined culture, massive architecture and ingenious complex of dams and water channels, Petra is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site Much of Petra's appeal comes from its spectacular setting deep inside a narrow desert gorge.

We will begin through the Siq, continuing our tour exploring chunks of this fantastic once-lost city, full of tombs, temples, an impressive amphitheater and a Roman colonnaded street. The intrepid can ascend the hundreds of rock-cut steps to Ad-Deir.

Better known as the Monastery, Ad-Deir has a similar facade to that of the Treasury, but is far bigger and the views from the nearby cliff-tops are awesome. We will depart for Wadi Rum for overnight camping and dinner. (Breakfast, Dinner)

Day 7 WADI RUM - AQABA - AMMAN
Wadi Rum is a stupendous, timeless place, virtually untouched by humanity and its destructive forces. Here, it is the weather and winds that have carved the imposing, towering skyscrapers, so elegantly described by T.E. Lawrence as "vast, echoing and God-like."

We will begin our day with a 4-hour guided jeep tour and enjoy hot lunch cooked in the desert. We will enjoy some of the most beautiful scenery, sand dunes, sun rises and sun sets in the world. We will transfer to Aqaba for a swim in the Red Sea before returning back to Amman in the late afternoon for overnight stay. (Breakfast, Lunch)
