Yaxha is the site of a Mayan city and a former ceremonial center. Among the five hundred structures in this area are stelae (commemorative slabs), altars, pyramids and ball courts.
From your hotel in Antigua, you will be taken to the airport for your flight to Peten. Once you arrive in Peten, you will head to the lagoon at Yaxha. You will have the entire day to explore the nine acropoleis and five hundred structures with your guide. From temple 216, you can enjoy a spectacular view of the lake, the island and the surrounding forest. At the end of the day, you will return to the Peten area for your flight back to Antigua.
