The El Mirador expedition is undoubtedly the most exciting experience for visitors that truly love archaeology or the feeling of being in places where they can experience the same sensation as ancient explorers did. The Bec river area is the location of the El Mirador archaeological site, where the rain forest hides the temples, palaces and burial grounds of the first of the greatest Mayan cites.
From Antigua Guatemala, you will be taken to the airport for your flight. You will take a domestic flight to the Petén area and transferred by helicopter to the El Mirador archaeological site, the most important settlement in the preclassic period. At noon, you will be taken back to airport to take the flight to Antigua Guatemala.
