Central Park is a major destination for New York dwellers and tourist alike. The lush 843-acre park is a product of renovation that involved several million cartloads of stone and planting 500,000 trees and shrubs. The once-underdeveloped location is now New York’s well-loved leisure 

Central Park is a designated National Historic Landmark since 1963, receiving 35 million visitors a year and is the most visited urban park in the United States. Not surprising with the many activities it offers to both tourists and New Yorkers alike. 

Follow the pathways to the artificial lakes  crossing 30 unique arches and bridges that link the parks many picturesque ares.

The Central Park Wildlife Center is home to more than 100 species, while the Strawberry Fields, named after the Beatles' song, is a quiet spot right in the middle of Manhattan. 

Childen and the young at heart are sure to enjoy the Hans Christian Andersen's statue on the West side of Conservatory Water, and Alice and Wonderland bronze reenactment statue by the northern part.

A hike to the terraces of the Belvedere Castle, where the Central Park Learning Center is also situated, brings one to a great view of the city. 

By subway: A, B, C, D run the length of the Central Park on the Upper West Side, along with stops at 59th, 72nd, 81st, 86th, 96th & 103rd Sts. By bus: M1, M2, M3, & M4 also run along the eastern part of the park.
