The Sistine Chapel is best known for its 12,000 square foot ceiling painted by Michaelangelo to depict the expulsion of Adam and Eve, Noah's Flood, the Creation of Adam, and the Last Judgment. The chapel also features frescos by other Renaissance artists like Botticelli, Perugino and Pinturicchio and today, is the site of the Papal Conclave.
