What To Expect
Enjoy a 2.5-hour morning drive passing through salt fields and rice paddies from Bangkok to Kanchanaburi, a province in western Thailand famous for its national parks of dense jungle, waterfalls and limestone caves.
Upon arrival, visit the world-famous Bridge on the River Kwai, a part of the Death Railway constructed during the Second World War. The construction was done using POWs and Asian slave laborers in unfavorable conditions. Due to the difficult terrain, over 100,000 conscripted laborers and 12,000 prisoners of war died during the whole project.
Then, enjoy lunch in a local restaurant and sample the flavors of Thailand.
Continue to an Maha Wang Chang and enjoy a thrilling elephant ride. Explore the abundant tropical jungle of the province on the back of Thailand's national animal. You may also spot numerous colorful birds such as Kingfisher and Hornbirds during the ride. After your animal encounter, go on a breathtaking cruise along the River Kwai aboard a bamboo raft. Enjoy the views of lush tropical forest on both sides of the river while cruising down the historical river.
Your tour then concludes with a transfer back to Bangkok.
