Bangkok - Phuket - 10 Days / 9 Nights - Cycle Tour from Bangkok to Phuket

This tour visits the east and west coasts of the country. It's a scenic and awe-inspiring adventure with seemingly endless beach views. You'll ride through quant little villages and rest in some superb hotels and resort, in areas prominent for their natural attractions and beauty. Most roads are flat and fast with only a few areas of climbing or hills. Many of the visited areas are noted for producing some of the best seafood dishes in the world. We take in some spectacular coastline scenery, and a chance to relax by the beach after a days riding.

Riding Profile
This tour is 100% on road and the route was designed for road bikers (roadies) in mind. Essentially, it is a road tour, but all riders are welcome. This trip follows first the east and then the west coastline of Thailand and gives you unbeatable scenery and ideal riding conditions.
Due to the distances, some of the rides are definitely tough. There are some hills mainly on day 6, 7 and 9 with the day 9 having some steep but short hills that take us along the coast road to Karon beach.

Itinerary / Activity Schedule

Day 1 Petchaburi - Hua Hin 80 km
Arrive Bangkok and transfer from airport to Petchaburi. Ride to Hua Hin. Lunch and Dinner included.

Day 2 Hua Hin - Prachuap Kiri Khan 118 km
We head out of Hua Hin, towards Sarm Roi Yot (300 hundred peaks) national park, which has spectacular limestone formations similar to Krabi. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner included.

Day 3 Prachuap Kiri Khan - Ban Krut 70 km
We ride along the coast to some of the most stunning beaches in Thailand. We are now well away from the main tourist areas and the roads are quiet and in good condition and this road is a joy to ride. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner included.

Day 4 Ban Krut to Chumpon 125 km
We stay pretty much with the coast today as we pass through several other beach resorts. The whole days we have views of the sea to left and the mountains to the right, this is a classic ride. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner included.

Day 5 Chumpon 0 km
Rest day by the beach. Breakfast included.

Day 6 Chumpon - Ranong 140 km
The road twists and turn, has some undulations and makes for some great varied riding, there is a climb of about 3km starting at the Pun Ya Ban waterfall and then it is down hill and flat all the way to Ranong. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner included.

Day 7 Ranong to Khuraburi 130 km
We ride through valleys today and so the road will undulate but nothing too serious just enough to make the ride interesting, but with fantastic vistas at every turn. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner included.

Day 8 Khuraburi - Khao Lak 90 km
We continue passing through the valleys as we head south to the very picturesque Khao lak. The road flattens out as we get to Takua Pa a Sino Portuguese settlement, we ride around the side of the town the scenery changes again as we come out of the mountains. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner included.

Day 9 Khao Lak - Phuket 120 km
The last leg of the tour to the tropical paradise of Phuket island, Thailand’s largest island. This road is excellent quality and fast. A couple of small hills to get out of the Khao Lak area and then its flat to Phang Nga and a few short steep hills to Karon beach. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner included.

Day 10 Phuket 0 km
Morning free. Arrange airport transfers for onward connections. Breakfast included.

Road Surface: This tour is 100% on paved asphalt and is designated as a road tour. The road is in good pave condition. It is suitable for most cyclists requiring only a minimum of technical expertise.
Support: An air-conditioned van specially rigged to take bikes and bikers.
Group: Minimum 4. Maximum 16.
Staff: Groups will be led by our local guides and our local support team.
Accommodation: All hotels have en suite facilities and a/c, whenever possible we try to use hotels with charm and local character.
