5 Days South Isan: The Khmer Temples - Private tour

Day 1 Bangkok-Khao Yai National Park
Pick up at 06:45 from your booked Bangkok hotel and transfer to the pier and take the cruise from Bangkok to Bang Pa In in Ayutthaya. Lunch on board. Visit the Bang Pa In Summer Palace, the former summer residence of the Rama Kings, and continue to the Khao Yai National Park with a stop at fruit market in Nakhon Nayok. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 2 Khao Yai National Park - Nakhon Ratchasima
Breakfast. Visit the National Park and stop at the Heo Suwat Waterfalls and other sites en route for picture making and viewing. Continue in direction of Korat for lunch at a local restaurant. Visits are scheduled to the Prasat Hin Phimai temple complex, Baan Prasat archeological site and the Sai Ngam Banyan Tree. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 3 Nakhon Ratchasima - Surin
Breakfast. Visit the Dan Kwian pottery village. Then continue to visit Khmer temple of Phanom Rung Historical Park with its well known Prasat Hin Phanom Rung, and Prasat Mueang Tam. Lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon we visit the Center of Blending and Integration Rural Development (CBIRD), and continue to Surin for dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 4 Surin - Khong Chiam
Breakfast. Drive to Preah Vihear (Khao Phra Wihan) located between Thailand and the Cambodian borders. Lunch en route at a local restaurant. Proceed to Ubon Ratchathani to Khong Chiam, a district overlooking the “mighty” Mekong River. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 5 Khong Chiam - Bangkok
Breakfast. Visit around the Khong Chiam area: Kaeng Tana: the largest rapids of the Mun River; the Mae Naem Song Si: the bi-color river where the Mekong and Mun Rivers meet; Chongmeck: the border between Thailand and Laos. Sirindhorn Dam: one of Thailand’s major multi-purposes dams; Pha Taem & Pha Mon: the two steep cliffs overlooking Mekong River with a clear view into Laos and visit Sao Chaliang: the place is scattered with natural mushroom. Lunch en route at a local restaurant. Continue to Ubon Ratchathani Airport.
(Transfer from Don Mueang or Suvarnabhumi Airport is not included)

- In case the border between Thailand and Cambodia at the Khao Phra Viharn is closed, the program on day 4 will be revised to a visit to the “One Million Bottles Temple”, a temple, completely made out of bottles.
- Rates for triple rooms are equal as those mentioned for the sharing twin/double room
- Hotel’s early check in (before noon), late check out (after noon), connecting rooms and adjoining rooms are not guaranteed
- No refund for unused services, splitting of package is not allowed

That's ok. We will try to be as flexible as possible. But you must inform us by email of the change or cancellation as soon as possible.
