5 Days Golden Triangle - Private tour

Day 1 Bangkok - Chiang Rai - Chiang Saen
Pick up at 06:15 from booked hotel in Bangkok and transfer to the domestic airport for flight TG 130 to Chiang Rai. Transfer to the resort and check in. No lunch included. In the afternoon, we make a boat trip on the Mekong river along the border of Thailand, Laos and Myanmar (formerly known as Burma), better known as the Golden Triangle. No dinner included. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 2 Chiang Saen
Breakfast. Visit by 4x4 vehicles the border between Burma and Thailand at Mae Sai, the northern most point of Thailand, with its the local market displaying times from Burma, China and the different hill tribes. Proceed to Wat Phra That Doi Tung, one of the oldest temples in Thailand, passing by Baan Pah Hi and Akha hill tribe classical villages and Doi Chang Mub. Lunch box is provided during the visit to the Mae Fah Luang Royal Gardens, enjoying the view of several species of tropical as well as western plants and flowers. Proceed towards Doi Mae Salong. Stop en route various time to some of the numerous hill tribes still remain their traditional way of life. Drive to Doi Mae Salong, a Chinese mountain settlement. After a short visit, descend from Mae Salong on the main road via Mae Chan to a traditional Akha village. No dinner included. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 3 Chiang Saen
Breakfast. Enjoy a river-cruise inside typical long tailed boats over the Mekong River along the Laotian border, downstream. Visit en route a Laotian weaver factory. Lunch at a local restaurant. Continue to Chiang Saen, the ancient capital of ancient Thailand, and stop on the way at the village of Baan Moung Karn, a traditional Hmong hill tribe village. Arrive to Chiang Saen, visit the a famous temple in this area; the Wat Phra That Chom Kitti, a majestic temple, and also visit the Wat Chedi Luang, an antique, massive stupa with tall teak wooden trees. No dinner included. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 4 Chiang Saen - Chiang Mai
Breakfast. Check out from resort then make a boat trip in Chiang Rai over the Mae kok River and visit en route some of the hill tribe villages living on the riverbanks. Lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, proceed via Wiang Papao with a stop en route at a hot spring and arrive in the late afternoon in Chiang Mai. In the evening enjoy a traditional Khantoke dinner with various dance performances. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 5 Chiang Mai - Bangkok
Breakfast. Visit Wat Phra That Doi Suthep with its colorful staircase flanked by the Naga’s and the beautiful Chedi containing a holy relic of the Lord Buddha; enjoy a panoramic view of the Chiang Mai city. Transfer to Chiang Mai Airport for departure by TG 111.
(Transfer from Don Mueang or Suvarnabhumi Airport is not included)

What if I need to change or cancel my booking?
That's ok. We will try to be as flexible as possible. But you must inform us by email of the change or cancellation as soon as possible.
