What To Expect
Antoni Gaudi only received mediocre grades in his architecture classes, and upon receiving the title of architect, his teacher was quoted saying "Who knows if we have given this diploma to a nut or a genius. Time will tell"
See for yourself how Gaudi's genius and artistry has prevailed through time on a tour to two of his most renowned masterpieces, Sagrada Familia and Park Guell.
Enter a park like no other in the world! A sprawling estate with manicured lawns is what awaits visitors to Park Guell. Let your imagination run wild with sculptures, terraces and mosaic-embellished walls abound! This is a fantastic example of naturalist architecture, where Gaudi drew inspiration from the environment, producing geometrical innovations unheard of in his time. Designed for noblemen, it has since been opened to the public for everyone to enjoy its opulence. A grand staircase awaits visitors, guarded by the iconic mosaic dragon which is a characteristic image of Barcelona. Afterwards we will drive you to Sagrada Familia.
Sagrada Familia is one of the most beautiful basilicas ever designed. Gaudi worked tirelessly on this masterpiece until his death in 1926, and construction has continued since then with a goal for completion in 2026, the centenary of his death. Its ethereal interior has vaults which reach seventy meters, and a Latin cross plan with five aisles. Lavishly decorated and ornate, this astonishing church is one of the jewels of modernist architecture, and religious buildings in general! Pay a visit to the Sagrada Familia museum which contains plaster models and pictures of its design and development.
