The rulers of China has long offered sacrifices and prayed for good harvests in the Temple of Heaven. It was built between 1406 and 1420 and has three other main areas: the Round Altar, Echo Wall, and the Vault of Heaven. The grounds surrounding the temple are vast and are often crowded with locals.
