What To Expect
Enjoy two or three days full of fresh mountain air and unforgettable Alpine scenery on this hiking tour of Bernese Oberland from Bern. With its dramatic panorama of snow-capped peaks, glacial valleys and lush lakelands, the Bernese Oberland is one of the Switzerland's most idyllic and enchanting destinations.
An activity which requires good to excellent fitness levels, you will need to be sure-footed and should not have fear of heights. Cross majestic mountain passes, follow stunning trails to beautiful mountain lakes and admire the rich flora and fauna in this southern part of the Swiss capital of Bern.
Some of the most popular hiking trails are Engstligenalp to Unter dem Birg, an impressive short hike which will lead you through rocky landscapes and flowery meadows to the majestic Engstligen Falls, First to the Bachsee, a popular mountain trail to a beautiful mountain lake, Schynige Platte, a pretty long hike which will reward you with a panoramic view of the Jungfrau region, Grütschalp - Mürren, an easy and beautiful trail on the western plateau above the Lauterbrunnen valley, and the famous Mannlichen to Kleine Scheidegg trail, a panoramic route across the high Alpine meadows.
After registration, a consultation will take place regarding options for extensions, grades of difficulty, meeting point and start time, overnight accommodations, deferral dates, or alternative programs in the event of precarious weather conditions. An equipment list, travel tips, and advice on maps round off the preparations.

Participants may choose to extend the tour up to three days. For a third day for one-two people, an additional charge of 240 CHF cash should be paid after the start of the tour.
When a 1-day tour takes place instead of a 2-day tour, 1/3 of the price paid will be refunded in cash.
If the tour does not take place due to unforeseen circumstance or inclement weather, 2/3 of the booking sum will be reimbursed, the rest is forfeited to cover the cost of the preparations.
For cabin stays, participants are required to bring a sleeping bag liner.
Please wear appropriate hiking clothes and shoes.
