What To Expect
The Medoc area covers approximately 5,700 hectares of declared vineyards, annually producing on average 300,000 hectoliters of wine. Of the grape varieties permitted, 50% of the viticultural area is planted with Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, and to a lesser extent Petit Verdot and Malbec. Also allowed within the AOC regulations are the varieties Cabernet Franc and Carmenere.
We'll depart for the Margaux appellation, world famous for its lead 1er Grand Cru Classe: Chateau Margaux. During this half day tour, discover Cru Classe and Cru Bourgeois, two renowned Classified Growth Chateaus that create wines in which the Cabernet Sauvignon is the predominant grape. You will then have the opportunity to taste these fabulous wines that are known for their perfumed fragrances.
