During a unique boat tour you will discover Birds’ Island and its “tchanqué” cabins (on wooden piles), the Arguin oyster banks and the magnificent surrounding scenery.

Arcachon is known for the "Arcachonnaise", the local name for an Arcachon villa, which is the architectural style of many of the older houses built there. It is a type of Victorian architecture, and was criticized for generations, but is now considered to be charming and deeply human. After a panoramic tour of the charming winter town, discover the unique oyster museum. Thanks to an interactive scenography, you will learn all there is to know about the work of the oyster-farmer, the history, locations and techniques of growth.

Finish with an oyster tasting session (optional) with a local farmer. Return to Bordeaux.
