What To Expect
After pick up from you hotel, we depart the city of Bucharest and proceed for our journey to the Prahova County.
Our first stop is at Salina Veche also known as the Prahova Salt Mine.
Next we proceed to the Muddy Volcanoes, a selenar landscape that would make you feel like you're walking on the moon or mars due to its geological structure.
Prahova Salt Mine
Also known as the Salina Veche, it is located in Slanic, Prahova County about 100 kilometers north of Bucharest. The mine is made up of two levels named Mihai and Unirea. The mine itself is non operational but visitors come here for its supposed healing effects because of the purity of the air. One area is closed specifically for lung cancer patients where they can come down and rest.
The volcanoes are a geological and botanical reserve located in the Buzau County. Shaped by eruption of mud and natural gases, the mini mud volcanoes stand at a few meters high. Its unique geological features of the area makes it look like you've landed on the moon. This fascinating natural occurrence is a must see.
