Prahova Salt Mine

Also known as the Salina Veche, it is located in Slanic, Prahova County about 100 kilometers north of Bucharest. The mine is made up of two levels named Mihai and Unirea. The mine itself is non operational but visitors come here for its supposed healing effects because of the purity of the air. One area is closed specifically for lung cancer patients where they can come down and rest.
