What To Expect
Buenos Aires is littered with impromptu shows and tangos in the street, but you have never seen it from this angle! This tour provides the rare opportunity to access the private world of tango, kept alive by the most passionate of enthusiasts.
Your stay in Buenos Aires should be fully satisfied with an experience of the Milonga, an establishment exclusively for the dance of tango. Here you will enter the natural habitat and birthplace of tango, the Milonga. Here you will witness a narrative tango, incorporating the same elements as the iconic dance but has a greater relaxation of legs and body, and faster movement.
In the Milonga, everyone has a role to play. Individualism will come alive as people shed their everyday masks and abandon themselves to the infectious music. Milongueros are the nonprofessional people that frequent the milongas and preserve the culture of expressing passion through dance.
Afterwards enter the World Tango Museum, and be enveloped in the world of La Bella Epoque. See the antique chandeliers, a wrought-iron elevator and ornate ceilings that used to be the background of the world's first tangos.
Witness just how much the tagno has influenced the other arts such as poetry, theater and cinema, with collections spanning the centuries that this dance has been loved, adored and played a major part in the culture of Argentina.
Lastly, enjoy a traditional snack of coffee and churros con chocolate at the Cafe Tortoni, the oldest cafe in Argentina where you can relax and ponder the richness of its culture that you experienced today.
