Cape Town to Knysna then back to Cape Town

DAY 1 WED CAPE TOWN - MONTAGU
Travel via Cape Winelands to Stellenbosch. Wine tasting and museum visit. Continue to Worcester and Robertson. Overnight in Montagu.

DAY 2 THURS MONTAGU - OUDTSHOORN (Community visit)
Travel to Oudtshoorn via Barrydale and Ladismith. Tour Ostrich Show Farm (guided). After lunch, tour vast limestone Cango Caves. Overnight in Oudtshoorn. [Breakfast, Lunch]

DAY 3 FRI OUDTSHOORN - KNYSNA
Travel over Outeniqua Pass to George, continue to Knysna and board ferry to the Featherbed Nature Reserve. Enjoy trailer ride to top of Western Head and walk back through Milkwood trees for lunch. Overnight in Knysna. [Breakfast, Lunch]

DAY 4 SAT * KNYSNA
Drive through Nature’s Valley and the Tsitsikamma Forests. Complimentary visit to Monkeyland Primate Sanctuary. Return to Knysna via Plettenberg Bay. Overnight in Knysna. [Breakfast]

DAY 5 SUN KNYSNA - HERMANUS
Travel via George, Mossel Bay and Swellendam (lunch). Continue to Hermanus - world’s best shore based whale watching sites (Aug - Nov). Overnight in Hermanus. [Breakfast, Lunch]

DAY 6 MON HERMANUS - CAPE TOWN
Depart Hermanus via coastal road to Somerset West. Continue to Cape Town where tour ends on arrival late afternoon. [Breakfast]
Passengers may disembark, on request, at Cape Town International Airport.


COMMUNITY VISITS

AMAZING GRACE CHILDREN'S HOME (MALELANE, MPUMALANGA)
Founded by Grace Mashaba, the Amazing Grace Children’s Home cares for AIDS orphans, abused children and human trafficking victims in a bright and cheery environment. It was registered as an NGO in 1990, and now comprises a church, dormitory, playroom, dining room and sport facilities. Foreign student social workers offer their voluntary assistance in exchange for practical experience.

COMMUNITY FARM SCHOOL (BARRYDALE, WESTERN CAPE)
During the 1960s farmers in the area decided to build a school for the laborers' children. The multi-grade school offers education to children from Grades 1 - 6, with four classrooms, two teachers (one of whom is the principal) and an administrative clerk. The school receives a "Norms and Standards" allocation from the government which subsidizes school fees, text books and general expenses.

What if I need to change or cancel my booking?
That's ok. We will try to be as flexible as possible. But you must inform us by email of the change or cancellation as soon as possible.
