DAY 1 WED - CAPE TOWN – OUDTSHOORN (Community visit)
Travel Route 62 via Montagu and the 'Klein Karoo' to Oudtshoorn, ostrich capital of the world. Overnight in Oudtshoorn. [Dinner]

DAY 2 THURS - OUDTSHOORN - KNYSNA
After breakfast tour vast limestone Cango Caves, and Ostrich Show Farm (guided). Travel to quaint Knysna (shopping opportunity). Overnight in Knysna. [Breakfast]

DAY 3 FRI - KNYSNA
Leisurely start before lagoon cruise to Featherbed Nature Reserve, trailer ride to top of Western Head, and walk back through Milkwood trees for lunch (included). Afternoon at leisure. Overnight in Knysna. [Breakfast, Lunch]

DAY 4 SAT - KNYSNA - PORT ELIZABETH
Travel via Tsitsikamma Forest to Port Elizabeth. On arrival, check into hotel. Overnight in Port Elizabeth. [Breakfast, Dinner]

DAY 5 SUN - PORT ELIZABETH - JOHANNESBURG
Morning tour of Addo Elephant Park. Transfer for Johannesburg flight. Remainder of day at leisure (unescorted). Overnight in Johannesburg. [Breakfast]

DAY 6 MON - JOHANNESBURG - KRUGER PARK
Transfer from Johannesburg to Mpumalanga via Nelspruit, White River and Hazyview to lodge on the border of Kruger National Park (unescorted). Check-in. Depart on an afternoon open vehicle game drive with an experienced ranger. Dinner under the stars in traditional African 'Boma' (weather permitting). Overnight at the lodge. [Breakfast, Dinner]

DAY 7 TUES - KRUGER PARK
Early morning breakfast before experiencing the breathtaking Panorama Route, including Bourke’s Luck potholes, Blyde River Canyon, God’s Window and Lisbon waterfall. Return to the lodge in time for lunch (own account) and spend the remainder of the day at leisure around the pool or viewing deck overlooking the Sabie River. Dinner and overnight at the lodge. [Breakfast, Dinner]

DAY 8 WED - KRUGER PARK
Early morning open vehicle game drive in the Kruger National Park. Breakfast at lodge. Rest of day at leisure, enjoy lodge facilities. Early afternoon open vehicle game drive in Kruger National Park. Dinner and overnight at the lodge. [Breakfast, Dinner]

DAY 9 THURS - KRUGER PARK - JOHANNESBURG
Early morning open vehicle game drive in the Kruger National Park with experienced ranger. Breakfast at lodge. Return to Johannesburg arriving late afternoon, at approximately 19h00 (unescorted). [Breakfast]

Community Visit

AMAZING GRACE CHILDREN’S HOME (MALELANE, MPUMALANGA)
Founded by Grace Mashaba, the Amazing Grace Children’s Home cares for AIDS orphans, abused children and human trafficking victims in a bright and cheery environment. It was registered as an NGO in 1990, and now comprises a church, dormitory, playroom, dining room and sport facilities. Foreign student social workers offer their voluntary assistance in exchange for practical experience.

COMMUNITY FARM SCHOOL (BARRYDALE, WESTERN CAPE)
During the 1960s farmers in the area decided to build a school for the labourers’ children. The multi-grade school offers education to children from Grades 1 - 6, with four classrooms, two teachers (one of whom is the principal) and an administrative clerk. The school receives a “Norms and Standards” allocation from the government which subsidises school fees, text books and general expenses.

What if I need to change or cancel my booking?
That's ok. We will try to be as flexible as possible. But you must inform us by email of the change or cancellation as soon as possible.
