4 Days Trekking Chiangmai - Chiang Rai

Day 1 Chiang Mai - Karen village
Pick up travelers from various Chiang Mai Hotel and drive out of Chiang Mai by air-conditioned car/mini-van (drive time approx. 3 hrs) along picturesque scenery through sharp curves and steep drops of the Mae Taeng district. A picnic lunch at the district is provided and makes a short trek down the valley to a Karen Village where we spend the rest of day discreetly witnessing their lifestyle and customs. Dinner and overnight with a Karen family (simple but clean lodging).

Day 2 Karen village
Simple breakfast at the village. After breakfast, we pack our bags and we set out on a 3-hours trekking/walking trip through the lush, dense tropical forests to a typical Skaw Karen village, still living with their own believes and traditions. After the picnic lunch we take our adventurous tour by making a memorable 2-hours trip on the back of an elephant along trails and creeks to a White Karen village. Dinner and overnight stay at the village (simple but clean lodging).

Day 3 Karen village - Chiang Rai
Simple breakfast at the village. Today, we have the chance to explore the fascinating surrounding of the Mae Taeng on a 3-hours duration raft trip down the curves and rapids of Mae Taeng River. End this morning highlight with a Thai lunch at a river lodge before we head out to Chiang Rai for checking in a resort. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 4 Chiang Rai - Chiang Mai
Breakfast. Check out from hotel for a full day tour around the most northern area of Thailand: we proceed to Chiang Saen for visiting the remains of an ancient city. Drive along the famous Mekong River to the exact spot where Thailand, Laos and Myanmar (formerly known as Burma) meet, better known as “The Golden Triangle”, then followed with impressive boat trip on the famous Mekong River. Lunch at a local restaurant. Drive back to your booked hotel in Chiang Mai or Chiang Mai Airport. (Hotel in Chiang Mai is not included)

- This program contains a variety of “soft adventure/adventurous” elements. These elements are not always suitable for all of your travellers . Kindly advise your travellers accordingly. Good non-slippery walking shoes are essential;
- Advise to bring protective, water-resistant bags for any electronic devices being taken during the trekking;
- The nights’ accommodation for the first 2 days at the hill tribe villages do not have electricity, warm water and air-conditioning. Traditional, simple bamboo/wooden houses with simple mattresses and mosquito nets with shared bathroom facilities.
- Child rates are applicable to ages 12 years and below.
- This tour requires at least 2 persons to operate.

What if I need to change or cancel my booking?
That's ok. We will try to be as flexible as possible. But you must inform us by email of the change or cancellation as soon as possible.
