Travelling on this small group shore excursion you’ll see and do more than the big-bus shore excursions offered by the cruise lines. Travelling with small vehicles, we will be able to enter the historical city centre quickly making our way from one point of interest to the another, maximizing your time spent in the Eternal city. Throughout your Grand Tour of Rome, learn the stories and legends of the famous monuments we’ll visit and the artists that created them, and what life was like in Rome over the centuries, and how life is today for the modern-day Romans.

Your Grand Tour of Rome will start with a tour of the Vatican concentrating on its must-see sights that relate to the Renaissance period when St. Peters Basilica, the Sistine Chapel and many other important sites of the Vatican took their current form under the patronage of Pope Julius II. With our skip the line tickets we‘ll go straight in the Vatican Museum, where your expert guide will concentrate on the highlights of the museum and Sistine Chapel . During our tour we will also see precious works of art housed within St. Peters Basilica, including the breathtaking Pieta’ by Michelangelo.

From the Vatican, we’ll make our way up to the Gianicolo Hill, from where you can enjoy a superb view over the city of Rome. And from where your expert guide can introduce the other sites that you’ll visit during your Rome shore excursion. We’ll make a stop at the Capitoline Hill, designed by Michelangelo, from where you’ll enjoy a breathtaking view over the Roman Forum.


Then, driving through the Fori Imperiali, we’ll reach the Colosseum with a stop by this important monument.

In central Rome, where the big-bus tours can’t go! We’ll visit one imposing monument after another, as we drive through the narrow streets of the historical centre of Rome to visit the Pantheon, Spanish Steps & Trevi Fountain where you can toss a coin in its waters to make sure that one day you’ll return to Rome. Here in one of the main shopping areas of Rome you’ll have free-time to wander this lively area of the city, or perhaps you can take in the cheerful atmosphere sitting at one of its cafe’s. Then, we’ll make our way back to Civitavecchia and your cruise ship.

- On Sunday and on dates when the Vatican museum is closed, we’ll include the visit of the Colosseum with skip the line tickets and an in depth tour of the Ancient Forum – A panoramic driving tour by the Vatican state will be as well part of your Sunday shore excursion

What if I need to change or cancel my booking?
That's ok. We will try to be as flexible as possible. But you must inform us by email of the change or cancellation as soon as possible.
