We were very happy with the tour company - Appianline and I would definately book with them again - Awsome tour guides - explained things to you then let you walk on your own then meet at a certain time to go on to the next one. Was a decent tour, but the time stated on your itinerary did not match the time of the actual tour! We showed up nearly an hour early. Also, the second tour started half an hour late, just waiting in the bus, and they ended at the designated time (so it was half an hour short). In hindsight we probably would have been better off just walking around the city without a guided tour. Regardless, it wasn't a bad tour, just nothing exceptional.

The afternoon portion of the tour was very limited in scope, and at times was just too much information. On the other hand, the morning, Eternal Rome covered a wider range of sites and was better paced. Bottom line, you got to hit most of the high spots during the course of the day.

The sights were very interesting, but Rome is very hot during the summer. Trying to do both tours in one day was exhausting and I was worried about heat stroke. The afternoon was absolutely miserable. The tours of the Colosseum and Forum were rushed and it was a big group. The lunch that was offered was okay, but they do not give you a choice of what you eat with only water or wine.
