An air-conditioned bus with tour guide will take you for a tour up the north of Qatar. Take a one-hour drive to Al Khor City to see the country boats being built by craftsmen. This is a good place to take lots of photographs!
Then, arrive at the Thakhira Mangrove Swamp at Al Khor and watch the birds at Al Thakira. Visit an old deserted Qatari village where the original homes were made of limestone and mud mortar.
Drive on over to the extreme northern tip of Qatar, Al Shamal, from where Bahrain is visible on a clear day. En route, stop at a small café to eat your lunch and drink tea or coffee.
Then drive to Ruwais to meet a traditional Arab family, the Majlis. They have their own pet falcon. Final stop is at the Al Zubara Fort and the Excavations for a 60-minute stop while the tour-guide gives you the history of the Fort. Leave for Doha City and arrive at approximately 15:00.
