What To Expect
Visit one of the most famous art museums in the world boasting the world's largest collection of Renaissance masterpieces collected by members if the Medici family during the 16th-17th centuries. Home to numerous works of art by some of the greatest artists of history like Michelangelo, Botticelli, da Vinci and Caravaggio, Uffizi Gallery is one of the oldest art museums in the world and one of the most popular tourist attractions of Florence.
Browse through the precious exhibition halls of the gallery and see the most renowned ones containing refined works by Botticelli such as Primavera and Birth of Venus. Marvel on the Birth of Venus, the icon of the museum, representing the allegory of the birth of goddess emerging from the sea foam which symbolizes the ideal of beauty as an expression of purity and spiritual character.
Aside from Renaissance paintings, the gallery also owns a collection of Roman statues often used by Renaissance artists as models and Gothic paintings with Byzantine influences from 13th-14th centuries.
