Nothing in the world compares to, or is more impressive than, the natural spectacle provided by the stunning group of 275 waterfalls that compose the Iguassu Waterfalls.

Located a few kilometers from the Iguassu River, the waterfalls enthrall with their size, water flow and force of its stream.
The geologic change that gave birth to the Iguassu Waterfalls took place near 150 million years and shook the earth crust around the globe. At the Iguassu region those changes created a gigantic canyon, full of rock steps and through which the grand Iguassu flows, produce a huge steam cloud and a deafening sound.

The average flow of the Waterfalls is around 1.800 cubic meters per second, for an average amount of 10 million liters per second. During the rain season the stream of the Iguassu River increases and shows an even more beautiful spectacle.

The biggest waterfall is the “Devil's Throat”, which is 90 meters high. The volume of water that pours down creates a cloud of drizzling water that can be seen from kilometers away. Over them, hung from an abseiling line – parallel ropes extended along more than 50 meters -, the team of the Brazilian mountain climber Waldemar Niclevicz crossed the Iguassu Waterfalls in 2002, in an amazing feat in history.

Bird Park
The Bird Park is conveniently located at the entrance of the Iguassu National Park, and fully integrated into its natural surroundings. Mingle with and photograph hundreds of different native and exotic birds, snakes, caimans, marmosets and butterflies in spacious walk-through aviaries and trails that wind through the jungle.
