What To Expect
Known as one of the most beautiful cities in Germany, Heidelberg remains an everlasting favorite among tourists. Our journey begins with a fascinating morning tour to this city situated along the pristine River Neckar.
We will visit the world famous castle ruins with its impressive Gothic and Renaissance building resonant of medieval architecture. Stroll on the large courtyard, the mighty terrace and see the Heidelberg Tun, one of the largest wine barrels in the world. Take a walk in the medieval town center and marvel at the Old Bridge, Karlstor, Church of the Holy Spirit, House of the Knights, and the charming lanes lined with half-timbered houses. The city also hosts the Heidelberg University which is the oldest university in Germany.
Our journey will lead us to Nuremberg in the afternoon, the capital of Franconia. Being the mighty center of European trade and commerce during the Middle Ages and a region significant to the Third Reich, Nuremberg offers not just marvelous attractions but also a vivid history.
Come to see the mighty Imperial Castle Kaiserburg, the former residence of the Emperors of the Holy Roman Empire in Germany. Visit the House of Albrecht Durer, the residence of a renowned German painter, engraver, mathematician, and theorist.
See the Old City Hall and the main market square which is the site of the famous Christkindl market. Marvel at the beautiful fountain, the Church of St. Lorenz, the Church of Our Lady with the amusing Running Men clockwork and the charming Crafts Yard.
Take a rest in between and have a bite of the famous Nuremberg fried sausages and gingerbread.
