Board on a ferry taking you to Korissia, the port town of Kea Island. From there, head towards the country house of internationally renowned cook book author, Aglaia Kremezi. With numerous awards and recognition, Aglaia teaches travelers how to cook and prepare appetizing Mediterranean dishes.
Meet Aglaia and her husband, Costas, as they welcome you into their home and show you around. Have a glimpse of their beautiful garden filled with Mediterranean plants, herbs, trees and fruits. Hear fascinating stories from Aglaia and Costas, such as their hobbies and interests, making you feel at home.
Begin the cooking lessons using local and home-grown products in season. For this season, you may learn how to make dolmas (stuffed grape leaves for meze), stuffed vegetables to serve with the main course, traditional breads, fried zucchini blossoms and other vegetables, skordalia (garlic spread) and pies. Enjoy a long Mediterranean lunch and savor the dishes prepared in class and other delicacies.
Continue on a drive up to Ioulis-Chora and stroll around its spectacular alleys. Have fun in a short hike along an old trail leading to oak forests and get a chance to see the famous ancient smiling lion, the symbol of the island.
