What To Expect
Our suggested program will take you to the center of the city, the Constitution Square - Syntagma, the House of Parliament, and the Memorial to the Unknown Soldier. You will also pass by the National Library, the University, and the Bank of Greece. Driving down Herod Atticus Street, you will see the Evzones in their traditional uniform and the Presidential Palace. On your way to the Acropolis you will see the Hadrian's Arch, visit the Temple of Olympian Zeus and make a short stop at the Panathenaic Stadium where the first Olympic Games of the modern era was held in 1896. Finally, you will climb up the "Holy Rock" of Acropolis in order to visit the Parthenon, the Herodus Atticus Odeon, the Propylaia, the Temple of Athena Nike and the Erechtheion.
After that, you will then proceed to the beautiful D. Areopagitou pedestrian street towards the New Acropolis museum. A walk through its galleries is a walk through history - between the masterpieces of the Archaic and Classical periods and the ancient neighborhood of Athens.
The Museum offers many opportunities for rest and recreation, as well as a visitor friendly environment for some of the most emblematic works of antiquity.
