What To Expect
The Harbor City gained its worldwide fame as a trade center in the 19th century as a free zone to transfer goods. Within its ports, various spices, exotic coffees and oriental carpets were sold, and some of the trade traditions carried on to this modern time. Currently being rehabilitated, the district is growing to be one of the places where modern architecture flourishes.
Have a taste of one of the best coffees in the world, during a visit in a coffee roast house. Try out spices in a spice museum and get a chance to participate in a blind taste test.
Pass along "Miniatur Wunderland Hamburg", the largest model railway in the world, or the scare house "Hamburg Dungeon", where the history of the region is retold through a shocking interactive experience.
Stroll the historic harbor and see modern architecture develop. Be amazed at award winning buildings like the Marco Polo Tower. See also the "Best Office Building in the World" and know the reason why it was awarded with the title.
The final stop of the tour will be the cruise center with a beautiful panoramic view of the Elbe River and the harbor where exquisite and luxurious cruise ships and yacht, such as the Queen Mary 2 and Abramovich's Eclipse, dock.
