What To Expect
The future meets the past in Hong Kong and nowhere can you see this more clearly than in the Central and Western district. We board a tram and head down to the west. Here you will see traditions of the past that remain vibrant today.
The tour takes you into a different world past dried seafood shops, herbalists, galleries, curio shops and temples. To get an authentic feel of life in Hong Kong, we will skip high-end restaurants and head directly to a Cha Chaan Teng for a taste of local pastry and milk tea that are well-loved by locals here.
Tram - Established in 1904 and now the city's oldest form of land transportation, this is the most colorful way to travel on HK Island.
Bonham Strand - Discover the surprising varieties of exotic dried seafood available on the street.
Cat Street - Where antique shops, and art galleries provide fantastic window-shopping (free time given to explore at leisure)
Man Mo Temple - An incense-filled world unto its own
Hollywood Road - A strange mixture of shops selling funeral items, furniture, antiques, and artwork.
Mid-level Escalator - 800 metres, the world's longest covered escalator.
Wet markets - One of Hong Kong's oldest and the most diverse fresh market. If you've never tried mangosteens, durians and rambutans, this is your chance!
Local Cafe - Stop for a well deserved coffee/tea break.
