Start the tour at the Uganda Parliament and learn the history of Kampala and how it gained its independence. Drop by the popular markets of Kampala, Nakasero Market and Owino Market, the old and new taxi park, and a Hindu temple. Then, meet a volunteer of Slum Aid Project at the Kisenyi Slums who will escort you throughout your stay at the slums. Hear stories of the struggles of the locals to understand their difficult journey. See the contributions of the Slum Aid Project and how the grassroots initiatives improved the lives of the families living in the slums. Visit the Buganda King's Palace, and learn more about the history of the kingdom and interesting facts of the kings who ruled Buganda. Lastly, climb up the top of Gaddafi's Mosque to get a wonderful view of the city.
