What To Expect
Start the tour by visiting the Nowa Huta district. This district is the first Polish socialist realist city built completely from scratch, and was designed symmetrically in the shape of a semi-circle. Together with the mighty steelworks, it is the pride of the communist authorities. Until 31 March 2014, you will visit a Communist-era restaurant and go on a guided visit to the private museum. You will explore everyday life in Poland in the 1970s in our exclusive and unchanged Communist apartment. The deluxe tour includes the rare opportunity to eat pickled cucumbers and have a shot of vodka with our close friend and Communist relic, Mr. Vieslav (upon request). You can also try your hand at driving the trusty Trabant.
Starting 01 April 2014, your guided tour in Nowa Huta will be on an old-school *Trabant called "Honecker's Revenge", a piece of good socialist realist architecture, and a stopover at the "Stylowa" restaurant, which has not changed since the Gierek times.
