What To Expect
Visit Miyajima, famous for its Itsukushima Jinja Shrine. Walk through the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park, dedicated to promoting peace around the world. After spending the night in a hotel, travel to Shinkurashiki, a picturesque historical district and important economic center during the Edo Period. Visit the former residence of the city's most powerful merchant at the Ohashi Museum. Marvel at Korakuen, one of the three most beautiful gardens in Japan, in Okayama.
Take a JR Shinkansen train to Hiroshima from Kyoto.
Miyajima is noted as one of the nation's "Scenic Trio" because of its breathtaking beauty and tranquil atmosphere.
Visit Peace Memorial Park, near the epicenter of A bomb area, and its Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum, featuring exhibitions of items related to the nuclear bomb.
Take a JR Shinkansen train to Kurashiki. Visit Ohara Museum of Art and stroll around Old Town. Have lunch at a local restaurant.
After lunch, go on a train to Okayama and visit Korakuen, one of the three most famous gardens in Japan as laid out in 1700 by the feudal lord of this district. JR Shinkansen train back to KYOTO, arriving between 20:30-21:00.
