Go on a fun and dynamic tour of Lima that is more than a history lesson, it connects you with the heart and soul of this fascinating Peruvian city. Ditch the history books, this Lima walking tour will give you everything you need to learn, straight from the people that really know the heart and soul of the city - the locals!

Meet your English speaking guide at the main entrance door of Bolivar hotel on Plaza San Martin, Lima Downtown.

Start your Lima Discovery by learning a few words of Spanish with your local guide. Learn some of the history of the Bolivar hotel before heading out to explore the 'City of Kings'.

Start by walking along Jiron de la Union, the pedestrian avenue linking Plaza San Martin to Plaza de Armas. Head off the beaten track and travel to the central market. Stop along the way at the San Pedro de Lima church. Built in the 17th century it is still an important spiritual center for many Limenos.

Dive off the beaten path and make a short stop at San Pedro de Lima Church, an infamous Lima landmark before making your way to Lima's central market. On display is fresh produce from all over Peru - from the jungle to the coast and the Altiplano. Learn about local dishes, typical drinks and fresh juices.

Take a walk through the Plaza Bolivar. This is the perfect place to hear anecdotes on the history of the country and all of South America from your guide. Visit the Monasterio San Francisco, home to large underground catacombs.

Finally, stop to rest and try a traditional Pisco Sour in the place where it was invented (or so they claim!).

The tour comes to an end in Plaza de Armas.
