What To Expect
A mini cruise is a real must in order to enjoy Lisbon, a city overlooking the river and the ocean. Centuries of history will emerge from its monuments scattered along the hills. You'll also be treated to a panoramic view of the Parque das Nacoes.
We will pick you up from you hotel in down-town Lisbon, and we will take you the mini cruise dock, where the sailing ride starts. We will see the modern naighbourhood of Expo 98 and its Parque de las Nacoes, or Park of the Nations, built for Universal Exposition of Lisbon in 1998. Marvel at its incredible modern architecture and the imposing Vasco de Gama tower. We continue by the Discoveries Monument, superb master piece that commemorates the Portuguese age of discoveries, on which the most important historical characters of Portuguese exploration are represented. There is also a map, indicating the road made by the main Portuguese sailors: for locals, a lot to feel proud of!
We will get an impressive River view of Lisbon, where we will admire the 25th April Bridge, amazing engineering construction, which dates back to 1966, and whose design reminds the famous Golden Gate Bridge, and actually the second longest bridge in Europe.
Impossible not to admire the breathtaking Belem tower, symbol of the Portuguese sailing tradition, nowadays famous for its beautyful mix of styles, between the gothic influences and the moorish details. It has been inscribed to the UNESCO world's heritage sites in 1983.
