ST PAUL 'S CATHEDRAL
This magnificent church is the masterpiece of Sir Christopher
Wren, the great English architect. Completed in 1710, it is
the seat of the Bishop of London and stands on a site that
has witnessed Christian worship for over 1,400 years. You
will have the opportunity to take photographs of this magnificent
cathedral.

HAMPTON COURT
Cardinal Wolsey began the construction in 1514. King Henri
VIII confiscated the palace from Wolsey in 1525, because of
his refusal about the Anglican reform. He extended the palace
for his many wives. Later, in 1690, Guillaume III and his
wife Mary, asked Christopher Wren to do up Hampton Court ,
with a classical style for royal apartments, and baroque style
for gardens.

BRITISH MUSEUM
It's the elder in the world : it was built in 1753 ! The
Great Court was thought by the architect Norman Foster and
is now fitted out with reading rooms, restaurants, book shops
It's the biggest covered place in Europe . The museum itself
is enormous and you won't be able to visit it integrally with
less than 3 days ! The Egyptian section is the most impressive
and the Greek and roman empire sections are the richest.

BUCKINGHAM PALACE
The official London residence of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth
II and serves as both home and office and is one of the few
working royal palaces in the world today. Its nineteen State
Rooms form the heart of the working palace and are open for
just eight weeks a year. They are lavishly furnished with
some of the finest treasures from the Royal Collection.
At this year's Summer Opening of the State Rooms, the 50th
anniversary of Her Majesty's Coronation will be celebrated
with a display of the magnificent Coronation Dress and Robe
of Estate, with the first public showing of the 30 metre Coronation
frieze commissioned by HRH The Duke of Edinburgh.
The garden at Buckingham Palace has been described as a 'walled
oasis in the middle of London '. It is perhaps best known
as the setting for The Queen's summer garden parties and the
spectacular Golden Jubilee Concerts. Visitors to the Summer
Opening end their tour with a walk along the south side of
the garden, which gives splendid views of the west front of
the palace and the famous lake.
This year the admission price includes an audio guide - available
in English, French, German, Spanish, Italian and Japanese.

NATIONAL GALERY
A beautiful painting museum, with 2200 paintings from 1250
to 1900. There are 4 wings around a great hall, with one wing
for each period. You can find many Italian, French and Nederland
's major works. The building itself was built in the nineteenth
century.

WESTMINSTER ABBEY
This magnificent and world-famous building is this country's
most important church and has been the site of every coronation
since 1066. Our tour includes the Royal Chapels, resting place
for most of our medieval monarchs since the time of Henry
III in the thirteenth century, poet's corner and much more.
This church is used for the country's main religious ceremonies
such as state weddings and funerals, the last one being for
Diana, Princess of Wales in 1997. When services prohibit a
visit inside the Abbey we will visit the Chapter House instead.
