What To Expect
Our "Secret Gardens of London Tour" is an exclusive guided day tour designed for garden lovers, parks aficionados and lovers of flowers. If you have seen quite enough of Big Ben et.al. then this tour which takes you to some of London's hidden beauty spots may be just what your heart yearns for! Small group tour with transport provided.
The tour starts at Trafalgar Square and from there, we visit the nearby St. Paul's Artist Church designed by the talented Inigo Jones with its adjoining rose garden. From there we head up to the delightful Lincoln's Inn Fields, London's largest square designed in the early 17th century.
Adjacent is the amazing John Soane's Museum, home to many beautiful things including some lovely garden statuary. A short walk and we are into the law courts and the adjacent Temple gardens.
We then head to the fascinating Garden Museum on the other side of the Thames, complete with its delightful 17th Century knot garden. Here we pause for refreshments in their very nice cafe. Next, we visit the famous Chelsea Physic Garden established in 1673 where they have a marvelous selection of apothecary plants and flowers - and more. We are now more than ready for the pause that refreshes and a proper English high tea at Kensington Palace, where Lady Di once resided. Afterwards, we visit the lovely sunken garden they have created in the Palace grounds.
