8 Days in Northern Spain

We will depart for Zaragoza for the first day and we will stop shortly before continuing on to San Sebastian, in Basque Country, Spain, where we will spend the night.

The second day will begin with the departure to Bilbao and a short panoramic tour to admire the Guggenheim Museum building before continuing on to Santander, in the northern coast of Spain, overlooking the Cantabrian Sea. You will have free time to explore the city before departure for Santillana del Mar which is considered as a National Monument. There will be a short stop before continuing on to Colombres where dinner and accommodations will be waiting.

On the third day, we will depart for Covadonga through Picos de Europa mountains after breakfast. We will have free time to visit the Shrine and go on to Oviedo.

The fourth day will start with an after-breakfast departure to Gijon, the second capital of the region of Asturias. We will go on a short panoramic tour and continue on to Luarca, Ribadeo and Lugo, in the region of Galicia, an autonomous community in northwest Spain and one of the first kingdoms of Europe. Dinner and accommodations will be in Lugo.

We will go to La Coruna on the fifth day where we will go on another panoramic tour and there will be an optional afternoon excursion to the Rias Altas, a major commercial fishing port. We will pass by through typical villages such as Pontedeume and Betanzos.

The sixth day will start with the departure from La Coruna to Santiago de Compostela, a legendary pilgrimage town which we will tour in the morning and you can spend the afternoon on your own to explore the town or go back to places you found interesting.

Depart for the area of the Spanish Fjords (Rias Bajas) through splendid landscapes and spend the night in Vigo. After breakfast the next day, we will leave for Zamora and Salamanca with a short stop to explore its famous Plaza Mayor and old quarters before continuing on to Madrid.

That's ok. We will try to be as flexible as possible. But you must inform us by email of the change or cancellation as soon as possible.
