Masaya Volcano National Park and Craft Market

This excursion will take you in only twenty minutes from Managua, to admire the majestic and imposing crater of Masaya Volcano at 635 meters high from sea level; you can reach the crater directly by car. You will also enjoy a magnificent view of its enormous crater, considered to be one of the most actives of Nicaragua. In the Park, you will also visit the Interpretation Center where you will receive an explanation about the volcano activity in Nicaragua.

After admiring this National Park, we will visit the archeological museum of Nindiri, a small town where you will see samples of items used by the indigenous people of this region. Then you will continue to the town of Masaya, Nicaraguan capital of folklore and handicrafts, and the richest in terms of handicrafts in Central America. The artisans of Masaya are known for making beautiful hammocks of international fame, woodworks, sculpted masks, clay ceramics and hand made embroidered blouses. In Masaya you will have the opportunity to choose between a great number of local souvenirs to take to your family and friends.
