What To Expect
Enjoy an exciting Amazon experience as you go fishing for piranhas and look for alligators in their natural habitat.
The adventure begins on the river terminal of Manaus where you'll board a boat bound for the Iranduba coast. Explore the waters of Manaus and observe the many "palafitas" or stilt houses built on water. See the Ribeirinhos, natives of South America living near rivers and fishermen going about their daily routines.
Your guide will look for a good place to fish once we arrive at the Iranduba coast. Try your luck in catching elusive piranhas or other types of fish with your fishing rod made of bamboo.
You will then start looking for alligators once it gets dark. Learn about alligator spotting from your naturalist guide who will show you how to capture one with his bare hands.
Navigate the magnificent small channels of Igarapés and pass through an "igapos" which refers to blackwater-flooded Amazonian forests in Brazil.
