What To Expect
Start your day with a drive past the historic Nielson Tower, a building which once served as the control tower and passenger depot of the Philippines' first commercial airport.
Led by your guide, stop at the Saints Peter and Paul Parish, the oldest church in Makati. The church's architectural design is a rectangular nave with apse and sacristy, which is a usual design for colonial mission churches. Then, visit the nearby Nuestra Señora de Gracia Church, a Baroque Roman Catholic Church which is one of the most popular wedding venues in Metro Manila.
Departing from Guadalupe, proceed to Makati's Central Business District and explore the Ayala Museum. Built in 1967, it is one of the country's most important private institutions involved in the protection and promotion of Philippine arts and culture. Discover well-curated exhibits on Filipino culture, art and history including the "Diorama Experience," a brilliant exhibit consisting of 60 handcrafted dioramas that succinctly, yet effectively, trace the nation's history.
Visit the Filipinas Heritage Library, another part of the museum which is a one-stop electronic research center where you will find a treasure trove of contemporary and rare collection of Philippine arts and culture memorabilia, vintage recordings of local music, and interesting old and historical photographs from the 15th century to the early seventies.
You will be driven back to your hotel or you may choose to stay at the Ayala Center for a wonderful shopping experience.
