Dubbed as the "Walled City", the Intramuros district is completely surrounded by a three-mile-long stone wall, a protection from foreign invasions during the 16th century. This historic core of Manila was once the seat of government when the Philippines was a component realm of the Spanish Empire and it's also where the Spaniards fortified themselves against threats from natives. Much of the infrastructures of Intramuros were heavily damaged during the World War II.

On this tour, stroll along the cobblestone paths past city walls, church ruins and other relics from the Spanish Era. Meet your guide at the Plaza Roma and visit the Manila Cathedral, the seat of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Manila and one of the most important churches in the Philippines.

Explore the San Ignacio Church ruins. Built by the Jesuits and consecrated in 1889, the church's magnificent interiors were completely destroyed in 1945.

See the Fort Santiago, one of the most significant historical sites in the city where several lives were lost during the Spanish Colonial period.

You will also visit the UNESCO World Heritage Listed San Agustin Church. Though the building sustained heavy damage during the war, this ancient church managed to survive and is now one of the oldest stone church currently standing in the Philippines.

Then, take a leisurely walk along the streets of Barrio San Luis and see palatial government buildings and old Antillan houses.
