2008 ITINERARY / ACTIVITY SCHEDLUE
Day 01 - Arrival Transfer
Welcome at the Mexico City "Benito Juarez" international airport, transfer to the hotel of
your choice and accommodation.
Day 02 - Mexico City
Breakfast. In the morning we will start the 4 hr. City tour, visiting the National Palace, where we will see its beautiful murals, painted by the great Muralist Diego Rivera, constitution square (The Central Plaza or "Zocalo") and the Metropolitan Cathedral as well as some of the main avenues. We will later visit Chapultepec park. Then visit to the museum of Anthropology (entrance not included) you can stay there the rest of the afternoon or be taken back to your hotel. Accommodation.
Day 03 - Thursday - Mexico / Puebla / Oaxaca
Breakfast Departure to Puebla and visit of the city: Santa Maria Tonantzintla, Rosario's Chapel, the Main Square and El Parian (a craft shopping center). Lunch. Continuation to Oaxaca, arrival and Accommodation.
Day 04 - Oaxaca - Monte Alban - Mitla - Tule
Breakfast. In the morning visit to Monte Alban, an important archaeological zone where we will find important remains of Olmeca, Zapoteca and Mixteca cultures: the Main Square, the Observatory, and Tomb # 7, the Stones of the Dancers. We will continue to Mitla, whose buildings are decorated with symbolic mosaics. In route we are going to meet the Tule Tree, one of the biggest living beings in the world. Return to Oaxaca and visit this City, including the Cathedral, the Seven Regions Fountain, Santo Domingo Church and Museum of Gold. Accommodation.
Day 05 - Oaxaca / Sumidero / San Cristobal de las Casas
Breakfast box lunch, Early in the morning, departure to Tuxtla Gutierrez, capital city of the State of Chiapas, enjoying the landscapes of the southern mountains. Boat ride by Sumidero Canyon, with 1,000 meters in its highest point. We pass by Chiapa de Corzo, where we can admire its Mudejar style fountain. Continue to San Cristobal. Dinner and accommodation.
Day 06 - San Cristobal De Las Casas and Indian Towns
Breakfast. Visit to San Juan Chamula and Zinacantán, typical Indian towns, to see some archaic rites pagan-religious that the people keep. Free afternoon to visit this beautiful city: the Market, Cathedral, Santo Domingo church. Accommodation.
Day 07 - San Cristobal De Las Casas - Agua Azul - Palenque.
Breakfast. Continuation to Agua Azul Falls, to admire their turquoise coloured waters. It we have enough time we will visit Misol-Há, another beautiful waterfall, we will continue to Palenque. Dinner and accommodation.
Day 08 - Palenque - Campeche
Breakfast. Visit to Palenque, one of the most important Mayan archaeological sites, both historic and aesthetically. Inside the Temple of the Inscriptions it was found the King Pakal's Tomb and its gravestone, beautifully engraved in relief. Departure to Campeche. Dinner. Accommodation.
Day 09 - Campeche - Uxmal - Merida
Breakfast. Panoramic city tour and departure to Uxmal. Visit of this archaeological site and its wonders: The Guesser Pyramid, the Nun's Square, Governor's Palace, and the Ballgame Court. Lunch and continuation to Merida, "the White City" to take a panoramic city tour: Montejo Avenue, the monument to Motherland, the Main Square. Accommodation.
Day 10 - Merida - Chichen-Itza - Cancun
Breakfast. Departure to Chichén Itzá, the most known Mayan ruins in Mexico. We'll visit the pyramid "The Castle", the Ballgame Court, the Observatory, the One Thousand Columns Square, Jaguars' Temple, the Sacred Well (cenote). Lunch. Continuation to Cancun; in route, visit to one Well. Arrival and accommodation.
Day 11 - Cancun
Breakfast. free day for your own activities.
Day 12- Cancun
Breakfast. At a set time pick up and transfer hotel / airport to take your flight back home.

Breakfast. visit Huejotzingo and its XVI century Monastery of San Miguel; we will also visit the world’s largest pyramid at the archaeological zone of Cholula and its 365 churches. Continue to Puebla, Unesco’s world heritage site, where the majority of its buildings are decorated with tiles and beautifully sculpted freestone; we will also see its majestic cathedral at the main square, the chapel of the rosary, considered the eighth wonder of the art world, the convent of Santa Monica and the Onix and Talavera ceramics workshops. Lunch. Continue to Oaxaca. Overnight
Day 04 - Oaxaca - Monte Alban - Mitla - Tule
Breakfast. Visit Monte Alban, declared a cultural and archaeological heritage site, where we will find important remains of Olmeca, Zapoteca and Mixteca cultures, visiting the Main Square, the Observatory, and Tomb # 7, the Stones of the Dancers, etc. We will continue to the archaeological city of Mitla, whose buildings are decorated with symbolic mosaics. In route we are going to stop at the Tule Tree, that is one of the biggest living beings in the world. Return to Oaxaca, cultural and historic heritage City, to visit the Cathedral, the Seven Regions Fountain, the impressive Santo Domingo Church and the chapel of the Rosary, and the Gold Museum. Overnight.
Day 05 - Oaxaca / Sumidero / San Cristobal de las Casas
Breakfast box lunch, Departure to Tuxtla Gutierrez City, enjoying the landscapes of the southern mountains and Indian communities along the road. Take a Boat trip at the Sumidero Canyon, with 1,000 meters in its highest point. Lunch. If time permits, We will also visit Chiapa de Corzo and its impressive Mudejar style fountain. Continue to San Cristobal. Overnight.
Day 06 - San Cristobal De Las Casas and Indian Towns
Breakfast. Visit the typical Indian communities of San Juan Chamula and Zinacantán, to see some archaic rites, pagan-religious rituals that their people have kept until now; in the Afternoon, visit this beautiful city: the Market, the Cathedral and the famous Santo Domingo church, amongst others Overnight
Day 07 - San Cristobal De Las Casas - Agua Azul - Palenque.
Breakfast. Continue to Agua Azul Falls, to admire its turquoise coloured waters. If time allows, we will visit the beautiful Misol-Ha waterfall. Continue to Palenque. Dinner and Overnight.
Day 08 - Palenque - Campeche
Breakfast. Visit to Palenque, declared a cultural and archaeological heritage site by UNESCO, and considered one of the most important Mayan archaeological sites, due to its historical and architectural importance. Inside the Temple of the Inscriptions, it was found King Pakal's Tomb. Departure to Campeche. Dinner. Overnight.
Day 09 - Campeche - Uxmal - Merida
Breakfast. Panoramic city tour of the Historic Fortified town of Campeche, declared a cultural and historic heritage site, to visit its cathedral, its fortresses, its walls, mansions and plazas; Departure to Uxmal, another impressive cultural and archaeological heritage site, also declared by UNESCO, to visit The Fortune Teller Pyramid, the Nun's Square, the Governor's Palace, and the Ballgame Court. Lunch and continue to Merida, "the White City" to take a panoramic tour through the Montejo boulevard, the monument to Motherland, the Main Square, its majestic mansions, etc. Overnight.
Day 10 - Merida - Chichen-Itza - Cancun or Mayan Riviera
Breakfast. Departure to Chichén Itzá, the most known Mayan ruins in Mexico, declared a cultural and archaeological heritage site by UNESCO, and recently named as a ONE OF THE NEW SEVEN WONDERS OF THE WORLD, where we will visit the pyramid "The Castle", the Ballgame Court, the Observatory, the One Thousand Columns Square, the Jaguars' Temple, the Sacred Well (cenote), etc. Lunch. Continue to Cancun or Mayan Riviera. Overnight.
Day 11 - Cancun or Mayan Riviera
Breakfast. free day at leisure or for your own activities.
Day 12- Cancun
Breakfast. At a set time pick up and transfer hotel / airport to take your flight back home.
