Taxco is a small colonial city located in the mountains of the North Sierra with a unique architectural style highlighted by its cobblestone streets and white stucco houses topped with red tile roofs. Wrought iron balconies, a common adornment, are usually spilling over with beautiful flowers. Taxco is a tourist destination known worldwide and the friendly and hospitable character of its people is never changing. Taxco has been declared a national monument to be conserved as it was in the 18th century.
We will go on a panoramic sightseeing tour in Cuernavaca, the city of the Eternal Springtime, and visit one of the oldest cathedrals on the American continent and the palace of Cortes and its avenues. We will then continue to explore one of the treasures of the southern mountains. Taxco, the World Silver Capital, is a cultural and historic Heritage site declared by UNESCO. We will see the famous parish church of Santa Prisca and walk through Taxco's lovely cobble stoned streets and admire the silver art.
