Amazing and cultural night tour starting from Nagoya! Watch the 1,300 year old practice of cormorant fishing on the Nagara River in Gifu from a working boat and see up close how the talented fishermen orchestrate their birds.

ITINERARY

Assemble Hotel Associa Nagoya Terminal at 16:40.
Transfer to Cormorant Fishing pier in Gifu city and board a fishing gallery boat.
Box dinner onboard and enjoy Japanese sparklers and mysterious cormorant fishing from a boat.
Transfer back to Nagoya and tour disbands at JR Nagoya station. (between 21:00-22:00)

REMARKS:

If Nagara river rises, due to heavy rain, tour would be canceled.
You may take a local train (30 minutes ride) from Nagoya Sta. to Gifu Sta. during commuting time. Therefore you may stand all the way for about 30 minutes.
Please put off your shoes and sit on the floor to enjoy the fishing. (There is no chair on the boat.)
*From 2009, the tour will visit the Kiso River in Inuyama instead of the Nagaragawa River.

What if I need to change or cancel my booking?
That's ok. We will try to be as flexible as possible. But you must inform us by email of the change or cancellation as soon as possible.
