Sunrise Express Kyoto 1 Day from Nagoya

Experience Kyoto, Japan’s most culturally important city. Visit Tokugawa era shoguns’ residence, Nijo Castle, before marveling at the gold-leaf covered Golden Pavilion and strolling through the exquisite garden surrounding it. Visit Kyoto Imperial Palace and watch traditional artisans work their craft at the Kyoto Handicraft Center. Walk through Sanjusangendo Temple, Japan’s longest wooden structure. Stroll along a quaint lane lined with speciality shops up to Kiyomizudera Temple for a sweeping view of the city. See Heian Jingu Shrine, a partial replica of the Imperial Palace.

Please carry your baggage on your own. However, trains do not have areas for storing large pieces of baggage. We recommend leaving large pieces of baggage at your hotel in Nagoya while you travel by train.


ITINERARY:

You Will be visiting the following places by bus.

Assemble at Hotel Associa Nagoya Terminal at 7:20.

Transfer to Nagoya Station and board a Shinkansen for Kyoto Leaving around 7:40.

A course : Standard-class reserved seat

Arrive at Kyoto between 8:10-8:30 and start Morning tour of Kyoto visiting Nijo Castle, Kinkakuji Temple (Golden Pavilion), Kyoto Imperial Palace and Kyoto Handicraft Center for lunch.

After lunch, visiting Heian Jingu Shrine, Sanjusangendo Temple & Kiyomizudera Temple.

In the evening, board a Shinkansen for Nagoya leaving between 18:20-18:40.

Arrive at Nagoya between 19:00-19:20 (Tour disbands at Nagoya Sta.).

REMARKS

Nijo Castle

- On Tuesdays in Jan., Jul., Aug. & Dec., "Nijo Castle" is closed and visit "Ryoanji Temple" instead.

Kyoto Imperial Palace

- On Saturdays, Sundays & national holidays and some other days, Kyoto Imperial Palace is closed and visit "Kitano Tenmangu" instead.

- On Feb.25, Mar.25, Aug.25 & Nov.25, visit "Ryoanji Temple" instead.
