Sunrise Express Kyoto and Nara 2 days from Nagoya

Ride the Shinkansen, Japan’s famous Bullet Train, to Kyoto; you may even get a passing view of Mt. Fuji! In Kyoto, visit Tokugawa era shoguns’ residence, Nijo Castle, before marveling at the gold-leaf covered Golden Pavilion and strolling through the exquisite garden surrounding it. Walk through Kyoto Imperial Palace and watch traditional artisans work their craft at the Kyoto Handicraft Center. In Nara, see Todaiji, the world’s largest wooden structure and home of the Great Buddha, and mingle with the many deer at Nara Park. Marvel at the many lanterns at Kasuga Taisha Shrine.

Day 1 : Nagoya - Kyoto - Nara - Kyoto
Assemble at Hotel Associa Nagoya Terminal at 07:20 and board a Shinkansen for Kyoto leaving between 07:40 - 07:50.

Arrive at Kyoto between 08:10 - 08:30 and start Morning tour of Kyoto visiting Nijo Castle, Kinkakuji Temple (Golden Pavilion), Kyoto Imperial Palace and Kyoto Handicraft Center for lunch.

After lunch, continue to Afternoon tour of Nara visiting Todaiji Temple with an image of Buddha, vermilion-hued Kasuga Taisha Shrine and Nara Park (Deer Park).

Day2 : Kyoto - Nagoya
Free at leisure until departure.

Transfer to Kyoto station on your own and board a Shinkansen

for Nagoya leaving between 18:20-18:40

Arrive at Nagoya between 19:00-19:20 (Tour disbands at Nagoya Station)

- On Tuesdays in January, July, August. & December, "Nijo Castle" is closed and visit "Ryoanji Temple" instead.

- On Saturdays, Sundays & national holidays and some other days, Kyoto Imperial Palace is closed and visit ""Kitano Tenmangu"" instead.
- On May25 & Oct.25 visit ""Ryoanji Temple"" or ""Daitokuji Daisenin Temple"" instead.

- Baggage carriage is not included. Please carry your baggage on your own. However, baggage space on Shinkansen is so limited and we recommend to carry a light overnight bag with you.
