“Michael, my driver/guide, was wonderful. I was alone on the tour, but I felt very comfortable and had a fantastic time. The Nairobi Reserve was way beyond my expectations.Ms. Gail L. ., – See more reviews
What To Expect
Spend a day filled with fun and adventure strolling around the city of Nairobi taking in its natural wonders. Unlike most cities, Nairobi has a national park located within its city.
Your first stop will be the Africa Fund for Endangered Wildlife’s famous Giraffe Centre. The centre has pioneered an innovative breeding program that is helping to grow the population of the endangered Rothschild giraffe in the wild. Here, you will learn more about this fascinating animal and the breeding project as you get up close and personal with the giraffes from the centre’s raised walkway.
Afterwards, you will head the short distance to David Sheldrick’s Elephant Orphanage, located on the edge of Nairobi National Park. The orphanage helps to reintegrate these gorgeous creatures into the wilds of Tsavo National Park in the east of the country. Get to know more about this fascinating venture and see the baby elephants being fed by their keepers.
Your tour will end around lunchtime and you will return back to central Nairobi. Feel free to explore downtown Nairobi on your own for the whole afternoon.
