wouldn't have missed this trip - fantastic day. Lovely lunch, lovely tour guide - excellent day. Spoiled a bit by the flight being delayed on the way back due to adverse weather but can't be helped.

Our guide Peggy was great! The tour was very interesting, but it might be worth mentioning to the guests to bring change, such as 1 or 5 dollar bills for the church collection as well as tips for the bus driver...

Your host for the cruise was excellent and passed on interesting information with with nice touches of humour. Sadly some girls in our area were quite loud and stopped us from hearing everything. While we could of said something, you never know if it will make things worse, so we moved when we could. It might be useful if one of your team could make regular patrols to remind people to shut up and sit down. It was left to your host to remind people from time to time, but of couse he had other responsibilities. over-all a great service and great value. than you.

We had a 48 hour pass and were staying in Brooklyn so decided to head for the stop nearest our hotel to catch the first bus of the day as we had a tight schedule. The first bus sped past our stop on the inside lane. What a bad start to our only full day in New York! The driver of our second bus spent some time spouting his political opinion on a number of subjects.

Having never travellesd by train in the US before we thoroughly enjoyed the trip from NY to Washington despite the fact that it took 3 hours to get there. Our tour guide in Washington was excellent, well informed and a great character.

We liked it because Washington is a beautiful city but when we arrive, nobody explain us our journey and at 2 pm we were told to take a bus but it was not a gay line bus, it was a hop on hop off bus. So maybe the persons at the railway station must be more present at the arrivals.

We felt it hadn't been emphasized when we booked that this was a do it yourself tour. Even the fellow at Grayline had never been to Washington DC so couldn't be specific in his advice. The staff at the Hop on Hop off bus ticket office in Union Station were very unhelpful and unfriendly and brushed our questions off. It was only that we were very familiar with the buses in NYC that we were confident of touring on these buses. We felt we had to watch the time very carefully which took away some of the enjoyment.

The outlets were fantastic. The only problem was wee were taken out there at 10.30am and the shops did not open til 12pm, so had to hang around for 90 min doing nothing.

A lovely way to end our holiday. You see all the major sights. My advice would be to sit on the right hand side of the boat. You see more of NY at night that that way.

Some confusion with Grayline as to how to collect tickets for journey in NYC office. Was told - different department - not us! and then at Philadelphia we didn´t get a lunch voucher and neither did the other couple on trip. We were told - different department - not us! but it was an enjoyable trip all the same.
